AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR EILEEN CHRISTELOW VISITS!
Famous author/illustrator Eileen Christelow visitd Dummerston's Kindergarten and First Grade May 8th to talk about her books, writing and illustrating. Students and teachers alike were enthralled by her fun and informative presentation. Thank you, Ms. Christelow, for a wonderful morning!
FOL BOOK ADOPTION
The Dummerston Friends of the Library will hold their annual Book Adoption on March 7th, 2017 during Town Meeting. It's easy to participate! Here's how it works: Stop by the school library during Town Meeting and browse the large selection of books available for "adoption". Select a book (or books) from the nearly 100 books purchased by the Friends in the past year. After you pay the cover price, you have the option of filling out a bookplate with your name, a message, or a dedication to someone else. The funds raised from the adoption go toward the purchase of more great books for the upcoming year!

Scholastic Book Fair a success!
Thank you to all who helped make this year's Scholastic Book Fair a success. Whether you volunteered at the fair or shopped, your support will greatly benefit our library!
On May 28, 2016, multi-talented musician, author, illustrator Donald Saaf gave entertaining presentations to students in grades K and 1. He is promoting his new book, Animal ABC Orchestra.
FOL iPad DONATION
The Dummerston Friends of the Library have recently made a very generous gift of 8 new ipads for students to use in the library. The kids are very excited to have these available and will be using them for research, ebooks, and all manner of library activities. Thank you!!!
